Care should be taken while cleaning to avoid damage to the Danny Ties collar.
For Single Patient Use: Danny Ties may be washed if soiled, but must be discarded if the hook end of the tie does not have good adhesion to the brushed side of the padded neck collar.
Caution: When changing the tie on a patient without changing the tracheostomy tube, be sure to hold the tube in place while changing the tie to insure that decannulation does not occur.

- Remove the Danny Ties from the tracheostomy tube neck flange.
- The Danny Ties may be cleaned with a mild, non‐hydrocarbon based detergent and warm water.
- The Danny Ties should be washed gently by hand.
- Rinse the Danny Ties thoroughly with clean water to preserve softness. Lay flat or hang to dry. DO NOT PUT IN DRYER. Allow to dry completely prior to re‐use.
- Always inspect the Danny Ties for damage after cleaning, rinsing and drying. If present, discard.
- Reattach the Danny Ties as directed in the Instructions for Use.
